CommentsDevious CommentsThe tree blur is due to the shutter speed (1/8), the wind, and the small aperture, as I was shooting after the sun had set.
Oh yeah, I just noticed the EXIF data you're right.
Well it's a great shot anyway -- Member of the *DailyDeviants photography team. Capturing time in a heartbeat [link] |
The photo got my attention immediately from the thumbnail, and when I saw the large view, I wasn't disappointed at all.
Everything is pretty well composed, and that windmill is the center of the attention, and the eye just keeps redrawing to it (rule of the thirds I'm guessing?)
Contrast is also pretty amazing, the way the white of the windmill stands well in the photo and grabs all the attention towards it.
I pretty much like the vignetting and all the darkness surrounding the photo.
The colors are natural and REAL, couldn't ask for more!
My only concern is actually something I can't identify. It's in those trees under the hill. Though the hill looks perfect, but those trees aren't much appealing to the eye, blurry maybe ? I can't tell. Maybe they just look weird lol, you can't be blamed for that.
All in all, it's pretty well balanced landscape, with an interesting subject and most of all it's real and eye catching.
