Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
What did you dream? It's alright we told you what to dream. You dreamed of a big star, He played a mean guitar... (....) So welcome to the Machine. .... Infrared photography. Hoya R72 filter mounted on a Sony Alpha 200. 10 seconds, f/7.1, ISO-100 I felt the photo is dreamy, yet a bit disturbing. I don't know if you'd feel the same. But maybe due to that weird (astrology maybe?) type of building and the weird forms in the water. ........... The rest of the Infrared series [link] ...... Trademark feature of IR shots, the dreaminess!
You have done adequate justice to the hoya filter I feel!
You have shot the picture with excellent, optimal settings
The usual noise associated with IR shots is not visible here! Thats commendable.
The only reason why I have given a 4 star instead of a five for 'technique' is that there appears to be a slight 'mal-alignment' of the picture... if in case you had shot this , or fixed it post-shot in a way that the reflections of the 'telescope/reactor' and the trees would be vertical, then this would be unsurpassable.
Having said that, now I will return to gazing at this picture.
