Artist's Comments

'Tis a diamond that he has, the biggest one I've ever seen,
And when he holds it in his hand, it's shining like the sun,
He says it's from another world,
he calls it the mirror of the soul..

Chris de Burgh - Mirror of the soul

.........

An old macro shot that I found by mistake. . It was already post processed, I just added a few touches et voilà.

Hope you enjoy. Comments and :+fav: are very much appreciated!

Ps, I guess this is the most macro I have ever gotten (1:1+)

A fascinating picture. The colours, shapes and varied textured all come together into a delightfully abstract whole. Whatever that object is in the middle (ish) of the picture, it does give a lens / window effect, even though it is clearly reflective rather than transparent.
The picture looks better rotated 90 degrees clock-wise. At least, it does to me. The composition is, IMHO, much stronger and what is currently the weak left side of the picture becomes perpective. It just seems to make more sense in that orientation.
I think that the black border is too wide, though I realise that the this was done to fit in the title and your signature.
A worthy and rewarding picture despite my grumbles.

Wow! That is so cool!

small things come in large packages. and vice-versa, ad nauseum, however insane things can seem to be to the camera, they are even more so to the things that remain unseen. unheard smiling stars in daylight sky that remain masked through solar light diffusing into shades of blue in our atmosphere reflecting from dust and nitrogen, and yet still beautiful in invisibility. :D

I love it. :)
