Artist's Comments

We'll tell our children's children why
We grew so tall and reached so high
We left our footprints in the earth
And punched a hole right through the sky

We'll tell them how we changed the world
And how we tamed the sea
And seasons they'll never know

So watch the old world melt away
A loss regrets could never mend
You never miss it till it's gone
So say goodbye
Say goodbye

....

Something I rarely shoot, but I loved this one.
It's quite old though, obviously.

A dedication with love, for both:

For being masters of the Street also being children of the sea; Ireland and Greece.

The poem (yours?) makes all the difference. Everything good, all that we love has this tenuousness in common. And trying to hang onto the good things is like trying to hold your breath, you know? Very nice shot--the meaning, once it gets you, is like an undertow. I like the depth of the background, how it keeps receding and how the b & w highlights this.
Did I mention that you're really good? ^_^
